1. Summing Amplifier
A summing amplifier is an op amp circuit that
combines several inputs and produces an output
that is the weighted sum of the inputs. So it
still has the properties of the other operational
amplifier as mentioned in tutorial 5. We can
use these two equations together with KCL/KVL to
derive the output of summing amplifier.
3
Class work 1
Find and in the op amp circuit as shown
below
Class work 2
Determine the output of the summing amplifier as
shown below
4
2) Differential Amplifier
A differential amplifier is a device that
amplifies the difference between two inputs but
rejects any signals common to the two inputs.
  • When , , which means only
the signal common to the two inputs is rejected,
and only the difference of two input signals is
    amplified.
  • If and , , this
    difference amplifier forms a subtractor.

5
Class work 3
Find the and in the differential
Amplifier as shown below

Class work 4
Try to prove the following
7
Cascade OP AMP
  • When op amp circuits are cascaded, the original
input signal is increased by the gain of
    individual stage.

Class work 5
If , , find
(combination of voltage follower and summing
amplifier)
