- WRA India successfully advocated for policy
changes enabling Auxiliary Nurse Midwives and
Nurses to practice life saving skills and provide
life saving drugs - Subsequently, the Ministry invited WRA India to
develop evidence-based guidelines and protocols
for their essential package of maternal and child
health services, namely, - Guidelines for
- Ante-natal Care and Skilled Birth Attendance by
ANMs and LHVs - Pregnancy care and management of common obstetric
complications by Medical Officers - operationalisation of 24 hour functioning PHC,
under RCH- II.

India
- WRAI is advocating for the implementation of safe
motherhood policies in India by engaging
parliamentarians, elected representatives and
media representatives at national and state
levels - Raising public awareness of RCH policies and
programs by campaigning to disseminate
information on entitlements - Monitoring the implementation by using checklists

- Advocacy package on human resources for health
developed by more than 19 partners. Play your
