Objectives
  • 1.  To identify and describe interprofessional
    primary health care models and inter-professional
    learning models for inter-professional clinics.
  • 2.  To explore the processes of interprofessional
    team functioning within the described models.
  • 3. To outline the similarities / differences in
    types of service provided, expectations for
    service provision and funding for service between
    models.
  • 4. To explore ways to assess the impact of these
    new models of interprofessional care on the
    health and well-being of the population being
    served and on health human resources.
  • 5. To explore ways to assess the impact of these
    new models of interdisciplinary care on student
    learning and the impact of this learning on their
    future practice.
  • 6. To discuss the concept of an interprofessional
    primary health care research network and the
    potential for ongoing collaboration.
