BACKGROUND

    for women families
  • Hormone therapy (HT) has been preferred treatment
    for symptoms health promotion
  • HT chosen by Latinas more often than other women
    (SWAN study)
  • HT recently shown to be associated with
    significant health risks
  • Educational materials may not be culturally
    relevant for Latinas and their families

COE/CCoE Joint Project
PURPOSE To foster collaboration among academic
and community partners to address womens health
care.

    related to menopause for Spanish-speaking Latina
    women and their families

  • 1) Assess attitudes and beliefs about menopause

    relationships
