Introduction to WAWF
  • WAWF (Wide Area Workflow) is a web-based
application used to create and submit invoices
    and receiving reports electronically.
  • WAWF allows contractors and authorized Department
    of Defense (DoD) personnel to
  • Generate, Capture, Process, Accept, and Pay
  • Invoice(s) to support the DoD asset visibility,
    tracking, and payment processes.
  • WAWF provides the nexus of information related to
acceptance of goods and services in support of
    the DoD supply chain.

7
Benefits
  • Simple and uniform point of entry for all DoD
    contractors and government authorities
  • Invoices are processed more efficiently
  • Contractors are paid on time more often
  • Ensures major processes are defined correctly
  • Eliminates paper from the acquisition process so
fewer documents are lost or misplaced, and data
    accuracy is improved
  • Lowers interest penalties because of faster
payment to contractors and lowers transaction
processing fees by way of electronic automation
  • Automatically notifies contractors by email
whenever an action is taken on their document and
alerts government authorities if further action
    is required to process
