  • Four content-specific scholarly books
  • CSU Fresno will lead discussions on two of the
    books

  • Get lots of resources

    websites which include vast amounts of lessons
    and countless opportunities to enhance your
    knowledge and teaching
  • Make connections with your colleagues
  • COLLABORATE
  • Earn a stipend (Stipend is paid only for 11
    listed colloquia/workshop/institute days)

What do you have to do?
  • Turn In or Fax signed Administrative
    Acknowledgment of Support by October 2
  • Take pre- post-tests
  • Administer to your students pre- post- tests
    (if you have 5th, 8th, or 11th grade students)
  • Create two lessons (alone or with a group). These
    will be due on 2 separate dates during
    spring/summer
  • Recruit a CONTROL GROUP TEACHER
  • (theyll get 100 to prepost-test students)

Control Group
  • Teachers must have a 5th, 8th, or 11th grade
    students (U.S. History classes)
  • Control group teachers and their students will
    take both the pre- post-test
  • When testing is completed the teacher will
    receive a 100 stipend, but only after theyve
    completed both taking/administering pre-
    post-tests.

Substitutes
  • Three Fridays will require a substitute.
    Districts will be reimbursed for the sub pay.
