• The bank foreclosed on Effie Wilcoxs house
  because she didnt pay her payments

• Grandma sent the kids up in the attic to get
  things for the Church sale, they found a hat and
  a quilt. Then they went to the Church sale.

• Next everybody in the Church thought that the
  quilt was Mary Todd Lincoln's, Abe Lincolns
  wife, because it had her initials on it and they
  thought the hat was Abe Lincolns because it had
  his initials in the hat.

• Then Grandma made everyone believe that those to
  things belonged to Abe Lincoln and his wife, Mary
  Todd Lincoln, and they came from Effie Wilcoxs
  house.

• Grandma got Effie Wilcoxs house back by lying to
  the banker.
