• ISLLC -- Interstate School Leaders Licensure
  Consortium (ISLLC), convened by the NPBEA in 1994
  to develop Standards for School Leaders,
  published by CCSSO, 1996
• ISLLC Standards -- Interstate School Leaders
  Licensure Consortium (ISLLC) Standards for School
  Leaders used as a national model in policies of
  40 states

• ELCC -- Educational Leaders Constituent Council,
  created by NPBEA to develop standards for
  administrator preparation programs based on the
  ISLLC Standards.
• ELCC/NCATE Program Standards ELCC Standards
  adopted by NCATE in 2002 to review administrator
  programs used in state policies to accredit and
  guide administrator certification programs.

• NPBEA Standards Update Steering Committee gathers
  recommendations from member organizations and
  Expert Panel (2006)
• Recommendations go to NPBEA Executive Committee
  (directors of member organizations) for final
  approval

  draft of ELCC standards.
• May NPBEA Board takes action on the final draft
  ELCC standards.
• June Initiate NCATE review process.
