    the main Hospital sites
  • Plus extra sessions of those areas unable to
    attend
  • Staff attending were assessed using scenarios

    they rolled out training in their own area

    ward area.

    always possible due to shift changes. Some areas
    do not carry out Transfusions frequently

  • Getting all relevant staff to complete training
    assessment
  • Approx 350 mainly nursing staff have completed
    training and assessment since beginning of
    November
  • Staff that are new to Trust but have completed
    assessment in another Trust
  • Is a 3 yearly update sufficient for staff who do
    not carry out Transfusions frequently??
