Biography

• Walt Disney is one of the most respected
  cartoonist that ever lived.
• Born Dec. 5 1901, Chicago Illinois.
• One of five children. Four boys one girl
  including himself.
• Raised on a farm. Started selling drawings to his
  neighbors at the age of seven.
• After the war he started his career as an
  advertising cartoonist.
• This was the start of a new and very famous
  cartoon, known as Mickey Mouse created in 1928.

• Steamboat Willie was the first fully synchronized
  sound cartoon which premiered at the Colony
  Theater, in New York. On Dec.21 of the same year
  Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs was the first
  fully length animated musical feature shown at
  the Cathy Circle theater in LA.
• In 1940 the studio was finally finished there was
  1,000 artist, animators, and story men and
  technicians
• Disneyland was completed in 1944 and was known as
  the magical kingdom.

Accomplishments

• Creator of Mickey Mouse
• During 1955 Disneyland entertained 250 million
  people including kings, queens, presidents, and
  royalty from all over the globe.
• Disney purchased and directed 43 square miles of
  virgin land in Florida
• With this land he built the amusement park
  including a hotel-motel he opened the park known
  as today as Walt Disney World
• He also made the very first fully synchronized
  sound cartoon called The Steamboat Willie.
