    Major Disaster Victim Identification tool
  • Casualty Bureau is half of HOLMES 2, the
Nationally Accepted System, deployed to every
    Police Force in the UK
  • DVI incorporates Casualty Bureau as one quarter
    of its solution
  • Interpol have approved DVI as a Major Disaster
    Victim Identification tool

Exercise Poseidon 2
  • Comments from Dave Blackiston (MICAS PM)
  • "Exercise Poseidon 2 involved a ferry arriving in
    Harwich from Denmark. The multi-lingual
capability of DVI would easily allow a Danish
Call Centre to be set up in Denmark to feed
caller and misper details directly into our
    Casualty Bureau."
  • "DVI was operated by people without any HOLMES 2
or DVI experience or training. They had no
    problem using DVI."
  • "Essex currently have 50 people trained as call
takers. They each have two days initial training
then one day refresher training per year. DVI
will allow a substantial time and cost saving."

7
Roddy Ross (PITO) on DVI
  • "Over the last two years we have been looking for
a solution to the technical issues with Mutual
Aid. The DVI development has the potential to
provide the solution and change the way we do
    business.
  • "DVI will greatly reduce the need for training.
Modularising HOLMES 2 on web pages puts operators
in a familiar environment. Most people are very
    comfortable working on-line.
