  • Use the MilSpouse.org web site to obtain
    information about the Family Readiness Program
    for the installation
  • First select your state

Partnering with military installation
  • Meet with the Employee Readiness or Family
    Support contact
  • Provide the list of training programs available
    through Xpert Online
  • Discuss the types of skills and positions your
    office is looking to fill
  • Determine how you will share open job orders
  • Offer help with current programs such as classes
    and seminars
  • Deliver Career Connections poster to the military
    location and provide an ample supply of brochures

  • Establish a way to accept referrals that works
    for both your office and the installation
  • Some installations may send you a list
  • Some may want to have their clients contact you
    directly
  • Some may want to send the eApp link to their
    clients

  • Keep them informed regarding your orders
  • Ask them if they need more brochures

Working with military spouses
  • When candidates identify themselves as a military
    spouse
  • Thank them for contacting you
  • Acknowledge that they are part of Adeccos Career
    Connections program
  • Offer Xpert training to help those that may
    benefit from training
  • Work with the military spouse to put them to work
    right away or provide them information or
    assistance to help them reach their goal
  • Keep the contact at the installation informed of
    any progress and success

Tracking
  • Check CM during the interview to ensure military
    spouses answered all of the questions pertaining
    to their status as a military spouse
  • If you e-mail an eApp, include instructions for
    them to choose Career Connections Military
    Spouse when answering how they heard about us
  • Remind them to answer yes to the question, Are
    you a military spouse?
  • When you assist veterans be sure that they answer
    yes to the question, Are you a veteran of the
    US military?

    Military Spouse Career Connections program, which
    is a program designed to assist military spouses
    in their search for the right job. I also manage
    Government Relations for Adecco.

Overview
  • Working with military spouses is a great
    opportunity that can be fulfilling for Adecco and
    military spouses
  • We are in a pilot phase of the program, but
    looking to expand the program
  • Success of the program is dependent on the
    relationship between Adecco branches and military
    installations
  • New tracking mechanism allows us to capture more
    accurate data
  • Increased web exposure and focused PR initiatives
    (both internal and external) have driven an
    increase in military spouse recruitment
