    to Germany for religious freedom.
  • Rubens traveled a lot He visited Italy, Spain,
    England, and lived in Germany and Flanders.
  • He was born in Germany and baptised as a
    Protestant.
  • When his parents separated, his mother took him
    back to Flanders where he became Catholic.
