Title: IS YOUR NAME WRITTEN IN HEAVEN

1
IS YOUR NAME WRITTEN IN HEAVEN?
Lk. 1017-20
2
Think about the places your name is written and
why it is recorded there
  • Birth certificate historical record
  • and identity.
  • Report card grades earned.
  • Drivers license identification and
  • the right to drive.
  • Marriage license
  • shows your
  • commitment to
  • spouse for life.

3
  • Written contract to mortgage a
  • home or finance a car.
  • Tombstone to note beginning and
  • end of your earthly existence.

Hopefully this is not the last place that your
name will appear.
There is an eternal record that if your
name appears in it, heavenly results follow!

Our aim is to have our name added to the Lambs
Book of Life.
  • Paul spoke of some women and
  • Clement, fellow workers, whose
  • names are in the Book of Life (Phil.
  • 43).
  • Those who have overcome the world,
  • Jesus will not blot out his name
  • from the Book of Life (Rev. 35).
  • Those whose names are not in the
  • Book of Life will be overcome
  • (Rev. 138).

5
  • There is a correlation between the
  • bottomless pit, the beast, and those
  • whose names are not written in
  • the Book of Life (Rev. 178).
  • And I saw the dead, small and
  • great, standing before God, and
  • books were
  • opened. And
  • another book
  • was opened,
  • which is the
  • Book of Life

6
And the dead were judged according to their
works, by the things which were written in the
booksAnd anyone not found written in the
Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire
(Rev. 2012, 15).
  • Only those who are written in the
  • Lambs Book of Life are allowed to
  • enter heaven (Rev. 2127).
  • If we take away from what is written
  • in the Bible, God shall take away
  • his part from the Book of Life
  • (Rev. 2119).

On this day, Jesus will judge every person of
every nation.
  • Mt. 2531-46 Separate like sheep
  • from goats use words depart
  • and come.
  • Jesus has been appointed to be the
  • judge and the day
  • has been selected
  • (Acts 1731).
  • The two books
  • were opened
  • and judgment made (Rev. 2011-15).

9
  • "For we must all appear before the
  • judgment seat of Christ that every
  • one may receive the things done in
  • his body, according to that he hath
  • done, whether it be good or bad.
  • Knowing therefore the terror of the
  • Lord, we persuade men" (2 Cor.
  • 510-11).
  • The if and
  • where our name
  • appears is of
  • great importance.

10
  • If our name appears in heavens
  • record, so much awaits us
  • Eternal bliss in the heavenly city.

11
  • And God will wipe away every tear
  • from their eyes there shall be no
  • more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.
  • There shall be no more pain, for the
  • former things have passed away
  • (Rev. 214).
  • But there shall by no
  • means enter it anything
  • that defiles, or causes
  • an abomination or a lie,
  • but only those who are
  • written in the Lambs
  • Book of Life (Rev. 2127).

12
How can I be sure that MY name is written in the
Book of Life?
  • Paul informs that only Christians
  • are recorded in the Book of Life
  • (Phil. 43).
  • Christians are those whose sins
  • have been washed away by the
  • blood of the Lamb Jesus Christ.
  • To become a Christian one must
  • Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son
  • of God (Acts 163).

13
  • Repent of our sins (Acts 1730).
  • Confess Jesus as Lord before men
  • (Rom. 109-10).
  • Be baptized in the name of Jesus
  • Christ for the forgiveness of sin
  • (Acts 238).
  • Remain faithful throughout our
  • life to receive the crown (Rev. 210).

14
  • Jesus promised
  • He who overcomes shall be clothed
  • in white garments, and I will not
  • blot out his name before My Father
  • and before His angels (Rev. 35).

Throughout the course of life, your name will be
recorded in many different places on this earth.
But the most important question is

And the Spirit and the Bride say, Come! And
let him who hears say, Come! And let him who
thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the
water of life freely (Rev. 2217).
17
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I
will come again and receive you to Myself
that where I am, there you may be also (Jn.
143).
