  • Students apply with one application for four
    scholarship opportunities. These include
  • All-USA Community College Academic Team Program
  • Coca-Cola All-State Academic Team Program
  • New Century Scholars
  • 37 States Hosting All-State Academic Teams

All-USA/All-StateCommon Application
  • Eligibility
  • Must obtain an associate degree between December
    1, 2009, and August 31, 2010, or be transferring
    to a university (All students must have a minimum
    of 36 semester college-level credits by 12/31/09
    and 48 credits by 8/31/09)
  • Two students per campus may be nominated
  • Minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA with a minimum of 30
    semester college-level credit hours taken at a
    community college over the past 5 years

All-USA/All-State Rewards
  • Up to 20 team members are named. Each receives a
    2,500 stipend and is honored at the AACC
    Convention and featured in USA TODAY in April
    2010
  • 300 Students will be named Coca-Cola Scholars.
    50 Gold Scholars will receive 1,500 each, 50
    Silver Scholars will receive 1,250 each and 50
    Bronze Scholars will receive 1,000 each. Gold,
    Silver and Bronze Scholars will also be featured
    in USA TODAY in April 2010. 150 Finalists will
    be selected and will each receive a 1,000
    stipend
  • New Century Scholars
  • Highest-scoring student in each state receives
    2,000, and is honored at AACC
  • One student from Canada, and one student from an
    international community college with a Phi Theta
    Kappa chapter will each receive a 2,000
    scholarship
  • All-State Academic Teams
  • 37 States sponsor All-State Academic Teams
    offering more than 41 million in scholarships
  • Students must be nominated for All-USA in order
    to participate

The Guistwhite Scholarships
  • Active member of Phi Theta Kappa
  • Graduate with an associate degree between
    December 1, 2009, and August 31, 2010 or transfer
    to a university (All students must have 45
    semester college-level credits by 12/31/09 and 53
    credits by 8/31/10)
  • Minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA for all coursework
    from the past five years
  • Admitted to a four-year college with junior level
    status and enroll in a minimum of 6 credit hours
    per semester in 2009
  • Must have a minimum of 30 semester college-level
    credits completed at a community college over the
    past 5 years

The Guistwhite Scholarships
  • Up to twenty Guistwhite Scholars receive 5,000
    each
  • Winners are recognized on-stage at the Phi Theta
    Kappa International Convention

Leaders of Promise
  • Phi Theta Kappa member in good standing currently
    enrolled in a community college
  • Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA
  • Completed no more than 36 semester hours as of
    January 31, 2009
  • No previous degree
  • Must continue enrollment at a community college
    for Fall 2009
  • Application deadline May 1, 2009

GEICO Scholarships
  • Must answer two additional questions on the
    Leaders of Promise application
  • Awarded to the two top scoring business majors
  • Winners each receive 1,000 stipend

Hites Scholarships
  • Establishing an endowment with Hites Foundation
    for 1 million in student scholarships
  • Scholarships will be for students transferring to
    a four year college
  • First scholarship applications will be due March
    2010 check back in fall for more information

Four Year CollegeTransfer Scholarships
  • Over 700 colleges and universities in the U.S.
    (including the District of Columbia), Canada and
    England
  • Scholarships are funded and administered directly
    by the university
  • Go to the CollegeFish booth in the Academic
    Marketplace for your username and password
  • Approximately 36 million available
  • All these and other non-Phi Theta Kappa
    Scholarships

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation
  • Up to 50 scholarships awarded to community
    college transfer students
  • Maximum award available per student is 30,000
    per year
  • January 2010 deadline (applications typically
    available in Oct)
