What Is ODAT?
  • Global working group of industry, government,
    academia, end users
  • Unified under single committee
  • Formed to ESTABLISH a standardized 120 mm optical
    media archival test methodology and to PROMOTE
    its implementation

Brief History
  • First meeting held at OSS in Sept 2005
  • Exploratory, to sense interest level
  • OSTA ODAT committee formed as a result of initial
    strong response
  • 6 meetings to date, 2 in Tokyo, 4 in US
  • Typically 12 to 15 companies and growing

Progress of Standard Development

    International in May
