Title: Heb 5:1114 KJV

1
Heb 511-14 (KJV) 11 Of whom we have many things
to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are
dull of hearing. 12 For when for the time ye
ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach
you again which be the first principles of the
oracles of God and are become such as have need
of milk, and not of strong meat.
2
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in
the word of righteousness for he is a babe. 14
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of
full age, even those who by reason of use have
their senses exercised to discern both good and
evil.
3
Hebrews 61-2 (KJV) Therefore leaving the
principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go
on unto perfection not laying again the
foundation of repentance from dead works, and of
faith toward God, 2 Of the doctrine of
baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of
resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment
4
The Doctrine of Baptism ...
Matthew 2818-20 (KJV) And Jesus came and spake
unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in
heaven and in earth.
5
Matthew 2818-20 (KJV) 19 Go ye therefore, and
teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Ghost 20 Teaching them to observe all things
whatsoever I have commanded you and, lo, I am
with you alway, even unto the end of the world.
Amen.
6
Three baptisms in the life of a believer ...
Baptism into the body of Christ
1 Cor. 1213 (KJV) For by one Spirit are we all
baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or
Gentiles, whether we be bond or free and have
been all made to drink into one Spirit.
7
Three baptisms in the life of a believer ...
Baptism of the Holy Ghost
Acts 15 (KJV) For John truly baptized with
water but ye shall be baptized with the Holy
Ghost not many days hence.
8
Three baptisms in the life of a believer ...
Baptism in water
Acts 85-6 (KJV) Then Philip went down to the
city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.
6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto
those things which Philip spake, hearing and
seeing the miracles which he did.
9
Baptism in water
Acts 812-13 (KJV) But when they believed Philip
preaching the things concerning the kingdom of
God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were
baptized, both men and women.
10
Baptism in water
13 Then Simon himself believed also and when
he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and
wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which
were done.
11
Baptism in water
Acts 814-17 (KJV) Now when the apostles which
were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received
the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and
John 15 Who, when they were come down, prayed
for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost

12
Baptism in water
16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them
only they were baptized in the name of the Lord
Jesus.) 17 Then laid they their hands on them,
and they received the Holy Ghost.
13
Baptism in water
Acts 835-37 (KJV) Then Philip opened his mouth,
and began at the same scripture, and preached
unto him Jesus. 36 And as they went on their
way, they came unto a certain water and the
eunuch said,
14
Baptism in water
See, here is water what doth hinder me to be
baptized? 37 And Philip said, If thou believest
with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he
answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is
the Son of God.
15
Baptism is a step of Obedience ...
Jesus was baptized (Matt 313-15)
Jesus commanded all believers to be baptized.
(Matt 2819)
Baptism identifies you as a follower of Christ.
16
Acts 194-5 (KJV) 4 Then said Paul, John verily
baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying
unto the people, that they should believe on him
which should come after him, that is, on Christ
Jesus. 5 When they heard this, they were baptized
in the name of the Lord Jesus.
17
Baptism is a declaration that ...
I have chosen
I can identify
Colossians 212 (KJV) Buried with him in baptism,
wherein also ye are risen with him through the
faith of the operation of God, who hath raised
him from the dead.
18
Baptism is a declaration that ...
I have chosen
I can identify
I will be faithful
19
Rom 116 (NKJ) For I am not ashamed of the
gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to
salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew
first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the
righteousness of God is revealed from faith to
faith as it is written, The just shall live by
faith.
20
Romans 1520-21 (NIV) It has always been my
ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was
not known, so that I would not be building on
someone else's foundation.
21
Leviticus 1933-34 (NASB) 'When a stranger
resides with you in your land, you shall not do
him wrong. 34 'The stranger who resides with
you shall be to you as the native among you, and
you shall love him as yourself for you were
aliens in the land of Egypt I am the Lord your
God.
