  • Comparative, Gender and Multicultural Studies
    one course from Block A and one from

Student Advising SheetMath Placement
  • In general, the Math Placement Test is required
    for accurate placement into a math course.
  • Math enrollment options exist that do not require
    the MPT. Consult your advisor for help selecting
    the appropriate class.

Student Advising Sheet English Placement
  • English 101 must be completed by the time you
    reach 45 credits (typically the first year)
  • SAT Verbal of 710 or above or ACT of 28 or above
    exempts you from English 101
  • English 100 is recommended with SAT of 440 or
    lower or ACT of 16 or lower

  • Building an appropriate schedule
  • Credit Load 15 credits (3-4 classes)
  • Using curiosity, interests abilities
  • GUR (unless DTA), exploration of majors
  • Read through DPG for class ideas, write them on
    your scheduling worksheet, then refer to
    Classfinder or the online Timetable for days and
    times
  • Refer to the Sample Freshmen Schedules in the

  • Students register via Web4U
  • Use Class Search as another way to search for
    courses.
  • ASA and advisor will assist you with registration
  • Log in and enter your selected classes to
    register
  • Print out a schedule from Week at a Glance for
    your own records
  • Show your schedule to the advisor before leaving
    the lab
