Main IdeaBud is trying to find his dad.

• He was sleeping by a library.
• He is traveling on a road when a guy finds him.
• He lives with a guys name Lefty for a while.
• Lefty brings him to who bud thinks is his dads
  house.
• He finds out that the man he thinks is his dad is
  really his grandfather.
• He becomes part of his grandfathers band.

The Theme

• If your mom dies and you have no idea if you have
  any family then talk to some one you know well!

Plot

• Buds mother dies.
• He leaves Flint.
• He is walking on the street and a guy finds him.
• He lives with Lefty.
• He ends up finding his grandfather!!!

Setting

• Bud is sleeping by a library. He sleeps there
  because he has no home and no family that he is
  close with. The library is a tall and brick. It
  has medal rails over the windows, all most like a
  jail. Bud sleeps by a big Christmas tree. He
  sleeps with his suit case. He really likes the
  people that work there.

CHARATERS

• Bud- Black, tall, brave, smart, nice, young. He
  is the main character.
• Herman E. Calloway- Black, tall, old, mean,
  emotional. He is the grand father of the main
  character.
• Deza Malone- Black, nice, young. She likes Bud.

Words I dont know

• With the first thing she sang, you had to
  wonder why this band was called Herman e.
  calloway and the dusky devastators of the
  depression, Herman E. Calloway and the Nubian
  Knights, it should be called Miss Thomas and the
  Dusky Devastators of the great Depression and a
  Mean Old Guy on the giant fiddle. Devastators-
  sad, or down feeling, Devastators- to bring or
  ruin desolation by violent actions.
• Now I was going have to pretend I was sleeping
  even longer, at least until I could figure a way
  out of being embarrassed. Embarrassed- scared,
  Embarrassed-to place in doubt, perplexity or
  difficulties
• All their eating is dandelion greens soup,
  theyre broke, their clothes are falling off of
  them, their babys sick but when someone took
  them some food and blankets, the man said, thanks
  you very much but were white people. Dandelion-
  a flower, Dandelion- a yellow flower, an herb, a
  plant
• All the guys onstage were nodding. Nodding-
  shaking head, Nodding- to make a quite downward
  motion with head whether deliberately
• I took another drink of the red pop and saw I
  had accidentally let some sandwich slip out of my
  mouth down into the bottle. Accidentally- not on
  purpose, Accidentally- arising from extrinsic
  causes

The Great Depression

• The Great Depression was 1n 1929.
• The Great Depression started in the United States
  and ended up worldwide.
• The stock market crash 1929,october, is often
  known as The Great Depression, but thats not
  what cased it.
• All stock markets at that time the prices were
  going fly high.
• The people did nothing about it from the year of
  1907 or the year of 1920 but that I guess was the
  solution because both of those were over in less
  than a year.

• Bugs is a ugly horse.
