• Originated on the federal level in 2001.
• Created to increase test scores, provide high
  quality educators, and accountability for school
  systems.
• Each state is required to submit a plan to the
  Federal Government reflecting accountability.
• Each state determines the scores the schools must
  meet to achieve Adequate Yearly Progress(AYP).

• that Mason-Dixon provides a team planning time at
  least 3 times a month.
• not all schools receive Title I support.
• we have equipped nearly all classrooms with an
  interactive whiteboard. (Only 3 more to go!!)
• we are the only elementary school to have a
  full-time Technology Integration Specialist.
