Title: EMaintenance and Emanufacturing Research Collaboration Opportunity Japan 1st 6th June 2003

1
E-Maintenance and E-manufacturing Research
Collaboration OpportunityJapan 1st 6th June
2003
  • ADJALLAH Kondo Hloindo, Ass. Prof. (UTT)
  • IUNG Benoît, Professor (University of Nancy 1)
  • ZERHOUNI Noureddine, Professor (ENSMM)
  • With the support of the French Embassy SST

2
Origin of the consortium
  • Initial needs
  • To develop scientific research to solve problems
    of e-maintenance, diagnosis and prognostic
  • To develop university / industry collaborative
    research
  • To stimulate maintenance sciences development and
    promote engineers training and post-graduate
    studies in maintenance engineering

3
Problems of interest
  • Face to the velocity introduced by the NTIC in
    the production and services development
  • New management solutions of systems remote
    control, degradation monitoring, diagnosis and
maintenance, taking account of the use of the new
    technological components (web based tools,
    intelligent sensors, wireless communication,
    remote control actuators, )
  • Develop fast and reactive management approaches
of services to improvement the efficiency of
    production systems
  • Integration of production and maintenance
    decision making approaches including human
    factors
  • Use the e-learning technologies to develop remote
support to maintenance operations and skill
    updating of operators
  • Focus on problems related to distributed systems

4
Current research overview
  • Tools
  • Petri Net, Markov Graph, Graph Chart modeling,
  • Neural Network, Fuzzy, AI learning, modeling,
  • Approaches of modeling
  • Discrete events and continue time modeling,
functional modeling for FMECA, Root cause
    analysis, probabilistic failure analysis,
  • Operations research approaches
  • Optimization approaches
  • Mathematical programming,
  • Simulation,
  • Sample of research themes
  • Predictive maintenance, remote diagnosis and
    remote maintenance,
  • On-line Maintenance management and scheduling
    decision making,
  • Maintenance and reliability data collection and
    quality,
  • Information system for e-maintenance and
    e-manufacturing integration.

5
Support for our mission
  • The CNRS is fostering research that considers
problems emerging from the use of the NTIC for
    the next generation society.
