Speak Up 2006-07 Teacher Data

• Over half of teachers say technology
• Has had the largest impact on their teaching and
  instructional support activities
• Helps them engage students in learning
• Over half say their lesson plans are richer and
  contain timelier info due to the Internet.

• From 2006 to 2007 teacher interest for online
  learning jumped 29
• Almost 1/3 of teachers now saying that they would
  be interested in taking an online class
• 26 (34 AZ) saying that online learning is their
  preferred method now
• The reasons include
• scheduling concerns (66) (69 AZ)
• time savings (40) (43 AZ)
• ability to control their own learning pace (41)
