Prophecy
  • 21 You may say to yourselves, "How can we know
when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?"
22 If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the
Lord does not take place or come true, that is a
message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has
spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him
  • Deuteronomy 182122

13
Bible prophecy does come true
  • this is what the Sovereign Lord says I am
against you, O Tyre, and I will bring many
nations against you, like the sea casting up its
waves. 4 They will destroy the walls of Tyre and
pull down her towers I will scrape away her
rubble and make her a bare rock. 5 Out in the sea
she will become a place to spread fishnets, for I
have spoken, declares the Sovereign Lord. She
will become plunder for the nations
  • Ezekiel 263-5

Tyre, which he distressed by cutting off her
    water-supply
  • Babylonians - Tyre resisted Nebuchadnezzar 13
    years (598-585) then city fell

16
Was the prophecy wrong?
  • I will also scrape her dust from her, and make
her like the top of a rock.

    the midst of the sea
