Key components of successful innovation

• the ability to envision the future
• the use of intuitive thinking and creativity
• well-managed implementation

Example of envisioning the future Anyone could
run reports when they need them

• The staff in ER wouldnt have to spent time
  running reports and could do other tasks instead.
• The individuals who want reports could have those
  at the actual point of need which would allow
  them to be more effective and productive.
• Even standard reports could be more customized to
  the need of the individual rather than having to
  make do with the standard report.
• Individuals would become more expert at
  extracting information from the system which
  would lead to new ways of solving problems and
  assessing issues.
