  • These common prefixes are used to indicate very
    large or very small amounts of stuff
  • Mega- (M) 1,000,000 one million
  • kilo- (k) 1,000 one thousand
  • centi- (c) .01 one hundredth
  • milli- (m) .001 one thousandth
  • micro- (µ) .000001 one millionth
