• Why the name Roadrunner? A long time ago, these
  birds would run on the road alongside horse-drawn
  carriages
• The roadrunner can run at about 15 miles per
  hour. It can fly but prefers to run.
• The roadrunner is not a quiet bird. It crows and
  chuckles and produces a clacking sound. It also
  coos like a dove.
