The origin and history of Logistics and Supply Chain Management have been discussed in brief. Logistics and supply chain management concepts have been defined clearly and the basic concepts of supply chain explained with excellent examples.
The value chain model by Michael Porter has been covered in this presentation. The value chain comprises of primary activities: inbound logistics, internal operations, outbound logistics, marketing and sales, and service. The secondary activities are: firm's infrastructure, technology development, human resource management, and procurement. The other important concepts covered in this presentation are: Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), Mass Customization, Postponement, Third Party Logistics (3PL), and Fourth party logistics (4PL).

We propose that membranes whose proteins and polar lipids are distributed asymmetrically in the two halves of the membrane bilayer can act as bilayer couples, i.e., the two halves can respond differently to a perturbation. This hypothesis is applied to the interactions of amphipathic drugs with human erythrocytes. It is proposed that anionic drugs intercalate mainly into the lipid in the exterior half of the bilayer, expand that layer relative to the cytoplasmic half, and thereby induce the cell to crenate, while permeable cationic drugs do the opposite and cause the cell to form cup-shapes. This differential distribution of the drugs is attributed to interactions with the phosphatidylserine that is concentrated in the cytoplasmic half of the membrane. Impermeable amphipathic drugs intercalate only into the exterior half of the bilayer, and therefore are crenators of the intact cell.
The mTOR protein is a 289-kDa serine threonine kinase that belongs to the phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K)-related kinase family and is conserved throughout evolution. mTOR nucleates at least two distinct multi-protein complexes, mTOR complex 1 (mTORC1) and mTOR complex 2 (mTORC2.
The connective tissue of oral mucosa plays an important role in health and disease. This presentation will describe all the components of the connective tissue of oral mucosa and its function and importance.
Inorganic materials – substances present in ash when food or any living organism cremated Oxygen, hydrogen, carbon and nitrogen excluded - these form organic compounds and not found in ash Building - Form part of skeleton and all soft tissues Hence, found in rigid body structures (bones) and soft body tissues (muscles) Regulatory function - associated with variety of systems: Heart beat Clotting of blood Maintenance of internal pressure of body fluids Nerve responses Transport of oxygen from lungs to tissues.
All cells have the following basic structure: A thin, flexible plasma membrane surrounds the entire cell. The interior is filled with a semi-fluid material called the cytoplasm. Also inside are specialized structures called organelles and the cell’s genetic material.
The presentation will help in identifying your Personality Trial. It will also help you in understanding the followings things. 1. Why do we “click” with some people? Yet, others irritate us? 2. Why do some types of work make us tired yet other kinds of work energies us? 3. Why do some people love maths and others prefer art?
