Chemicals, through the different steps from manufacturing to end use are considered a real danger for environment and human at any age. Considering the global trade of chemicals, the importance of communication of the hazards at international level in a harmonized manner was recognized and as a result harmonized system of classification and labeling were introduced. The new system, which was called “Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS)”, addresses classification of chemicals by types of hazard and proposes harmonized hazard communication elements, including labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
