• The swoosh represents the wing of the Goddess
  Nike
• Phil Knight founded Blue Ribbon Sports which
  later became Nike
• Knight started it from the trunk of his car back
  in the 1960s
• In 1971 the name Nike and the swoosh sign were
  trademarked
