Bioluminescence !!!
  • Bioluminescence, (living light) is ability of
    living organisms to produce light through a
    chemical reaction.
  • There are two ways an organism can
    bioluminescence

What is fluorescence ?
In fluorescence, energy from a source of light is
absorbed and reemitted as another photon. In
bioluminescence the excitation energy is supplied
by a chemical reaction rather than from a source
of light.

Two chemicals are required. Luciferin which
