education of pupil teachers -
  •  Minutes of the Committee of Council on
    Education, 1846.
  •  Qualifications of candidates
  • To read with fluency, ease and expression
  • To write in a neat hand with correct spelling and
    punctuation, a simple prose narrative read to
    them
  • To write from dictation sums in the first four
    rules of arithmetic, simple and compound to work
    them correctly, and to know the table of weights
    and measures.

    sentence
