  • Again, hopefully nothing offensive to anyone in
    this lesson.
  • Has there been any area of our lives more
    affected by Satan and society than a biblical and
    proper view of virginity???

  • Probably no greater pressure felt by our children
    than that of maintaining purity in this regard.
  • Virginity now is scoffed at, ridiculed, and made
    fun of. It is as if it is a weight around their
    necks loosened only by losing it (gratification).
    How very sad.

  • As parents trying to raise godly and pure
    children, we must be vigilent to instill the
    proper view of this subject from Gods word.
  • Thats what this lessen (and perhaps the next) is
    all about.I hope it helps for the task is

    nervous)
  • A. Virgin in the N.T. is always translated
    from the Greek term parthenos- a virgin.
  • 1. Matt.123 applied to the mother of Jesus
  • 2. Rev.144 applied to 144,000 Jewish males
  • 3. 2Cor.112 applied figuratively to
    the church betrothed to Christ.

  • -the noun form 4- a person who has not had
    sexual intercourse
  • -the adjective form 1- free of impurity
    or stain

  • A. God always has placed tremendous
    significance on purity in this regard.
  • 1. Lev.2110-15 priest was forbidden to
    marry anyone but a virgin. (1Pet.25)
  • 2. Deut.2113-30 God required the life
    of those who had no regard for their
    own personal purity or that of others.

  • III. What then should be Our attitude toward
    it?
  • A. That Gods view of the subject is the
    only important one- the one that counts.
  • 1. Isa. 558-9 Jer.1023 1Cor.125 all tell
    us that Mans wisdom is incomparable to Gods.
    (see also Eph.210)
  • 2. We will not be judged in this matter by
    the worlds standards, Heb.411-13.

    it?
  • B. That virginity is a very special gift we can
    only give once.
  • 1. This is to emphasize the serious nature of
    subject.
  • 2. There are decisions made while we are young
    that can influence the rest of our lives- good
    or bad.
  • 3. The decision to retain your purity until
    marriage
  • HAS NO BAD RESULTS! 1Cor.1420

  • B. That virginity is a very special gift we can
    only give once.
  • 4. Men and women should and can take
    tremendous pride when they present themselves
    pure to their marriage partners.

    deceived.

  • Your personal purity/virginity is a very special
    gift God has provided you to properly give
    to someone you love and with whom you will
    spend the rest of your life.
  • Give it to the RIGHT person
  • At the RIGHT time
  • And you and they will receive the
    wonderful blessings God intended through it.
