of PSP
  • PSP has been put into use 1981-1982
  • During the period of constructing (also each of
    the operations) the following conditions had to
    be fulfilled
  • - Strict governmental regulations regarding the
    environment protection
  • - reducing the period of construction
  • - changing of the shape of the upper reservoir
    and its inclusion in nature
  • - damaging the forest vegetation
  • - dissociation between construction of flats and
    social units
  • - underground positioning of the conducts
  • - minimum use of ground
  • PSP tasks
  • - keeping the quality standards when providing
    electrical energy
  • - covering of the changes in the charge of the
    electric network
  • - operative covering of the quick changes in the
    electric network
  • - fulfilling of the regulation functions of the
    electric network

  • All the work is divided into four part
  • 1, The upper reservoir
  • 2, Underground conducts
  • 3, The hydro power plant and the lower reservoir
  • 4, Geological anomaly

  • The upper reservoir
  • - artificial, without own the natural water
    inflow
  • - bottom of the reservoir are sealed by a
    bituminous and cement coat
  • - in perimeter is a tunnel for leakage water
    controlling
  • - operation levels fluctuate by 25m (1.160 and
    1.135m)
  • Underground conducts and the communication tunnel
  • - Count of conducts 3, diameter 3,8m
  • - Conducts are finished in a spherical
    distributor branching out the conduct into two
    turbines and two pumps
  • - Every conduct has 3 parts a) two horizontal
    part b) inclination part with inclination 45O

    overflow 6x122,4MW
  • - Working time 5,5h
  • - TG1-TG6 - 6 vertical aggregates in 3 steps 1,
    the motor-generátor

  • turbines of Francis type with internal diameter
    2600mm
  • - TG7 1 turbine of the type Kaplan 0,8 MW for
    the natural flow of the river Cierny Váh
  • The lower reservoir
  • Made of concrete, gravitational
  • lateral walls geotextile Taratex with stones
  • - Total volume of the reservoir 3,7mil. M3
  • - Iregularitiy of the water surface7,45m
