CMO 59, s. 1996 /There are currently several GECs. CHED GEC-A for students majoring in humanities, social sciences, or communication. CHED GEC-B for students majoring in the sciences, engineering, and a few other majors. There are also GECs for nursing students, education students, etc. In effect there is no single GEC, because many Technical Panels impose their own GE subjects.
