3Why are we changing?
- IMPROVE CONSISTENCY
- One style tag for every agency.
- Greater familiarization in a large scale
incident. - Eliminate multiple styles of tags in the system.

- 2. IC or the Medical Group needs to establish
what numbering system should be used for the
incident. - 3. Tag number gets filled out at the funnel
point. - 4. Tag gets attached to patient using the colored
triage tape.
15Distribution Process
- King County EMS will be the lead agency to
provide treatment tags for all departments. - Each agency will be provided an initial amount of
tags to use. - Additional replacement tags are to be requested
through King County EMS.
16Additional Requests
- Please remove all tags currently being used at
your agency once the new tags arrive. - This new tag is the only approved treatment tag
for King County. - Thank you for your time and effort to help
improve our MCI system.
