• Modern looking opera house
• Architectural design by Carlos Ott
• Its a reminder to the Parisians to remember the
  July revolution in 1830
• It opened on July 14, 1989

• A torn down prison, but many parts remain
• Torn down near the beginning of the French
  revolution
• The foundation stones can still be seen from the
  subway that goes beneath the monument
