The scriptures relate the story of a young woman
who was chosen to be the mother of the Savior of
the world.
Luke 1 26-33
  • And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent
from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was
Joseph, of the house of David and the virgins
name was Mary.
And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail,
thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with
thee blessed art thou among women
And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and
bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary for
thou hast found favour with God.
4
She simply replied Behold the handmaid of the
Lord be it unto me according to thy word.
Ponder on Marys example of obedience and faith.
How can we make Marys example part of our
lives?
5
Consider her reaction - She did not question,
hesitate, argue or doubt. What would you have
done?
6
  • Joseph also was obedient to the Lords command.
He loved Jesus as if he was his very own.

  • John 1512-13
  • This is my commandment, that ye love one
another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath
no man than this, that a man lay down his life
    for his friends.

20
This is Jesus! He is in this very room
21
He Loves you.
22
He is knocking at your door.
23
He Was Born for You
24
He Suffered for You
25
He Lives for you
26
All we have to do is reach up to take his hand,
27
because he is right there waiting for you.
