• x-axis The horizontal number line on a
  coordinate plane.
• y-axis The vertical number line on a coordinate
  plane.

• Ordered Pairs A pair of numbers used to
  identify and plot points in a coordinate plane.
  Given in the sequence (x, y)location on x-axis,
  location on y-axis.
• Think of Battleship!
• Origin The middle of a coordinate plane. The
  point (0, 0)
• Quadrants The 4 areas on a coordinate plane
  created by the x and y-axis.
