    history, geography, and culture of Africa
  • The Task
  • Create a one page advertisement for either
    Eurocentrism or Afrocentrism. Make sure to
    include which one would be a better perspective
    for a history course. Also make sure to include
    WHY!

    living built up by a group of human beings and
    transmitted from one generation to another.

    etc.
  • Culture is the sum of total of the learned
    behavior of a group of people that are generally
    considered to be the tradition of that people and
    are transmitted from generation to generation

  • The combined thoughts, feelings, attitudes and
    beliefs shared by a group of people who share
    ties geographic area

  • A group of people who have maintained a community
    that can function with its own set of rules and
    complex systems.
  • All civilizations share 2 elements
  • They have reached a point where resources are not
    so scarce that they can create death rituals
  • 2) There is some level of care provided for those
    who are unable to care for themselves

Civilization Simulation
  • Create a map of your settlement. You must include
    the following Food sources, water sources,
    transportation, central form of government,
    housing, worship and some sort of repository for
    the dead. If you have a permanent settlement
    include your crops/farms. If you have a
    semi-nomadic lifestyle make sure you show how
    your settlement will move such as direction. If
    you have seasonal plants or farms show their
    location.

    basket. If you are immune do not make any changes
    to your location.
