  • Become familiar with the story
  • Main points (STORYBOARD)
  • Dont worry too much about small detail (unless
    important)
  • Visualise it.
  • Be creative
  • Have fun

DONT TRY TO MEMORISE THE STORY!
Make up your own - follow the road and just look
for an exit. Dont worry if you miss one there
will be another.

Be confident they will think youre brilliant.
  • Be aware of the audience
  • Appropriateness of language
  • Watch them, constantly determine their engagement
    / involvement during telling (respond / adapt)
  • Involve them in a range of ways participation

Create images with words appropriate vocabulary
(extending, repeat ) keep watching them .
Non-verbal communication eyes, face, arms
hands, body .

  • Drawing the audience in tailoring the telling
    to the audience where they are
  •  Variation of voice
  • Change of pace
  • Silence
  • Use of space

Use of repetition, emphasis, pause .
Use of artefacts helps the imagination, hooks
listeners, gives them a focus, helps create
atmosphere ..
Dont be afraid to use everything incorporate
things that are around, even interruptions
Trying to enable the audience to experience the
story.
