The Computer Literacy Videos
  • You can use the Computer Literacy Videos to help
    learn your work
  • The videos are too long to play over the Internet
  • 50 videos
  • Over 2 hours total
  • You will need to copy the videos toCD-ROM for
    use at home
  • See Video 1e to see how to do this

  • This is AUTs tailored version ofBlackboard (a
    U.S. product for online learning)
  • Login to AUTonline atwww.autonline.ac.nz

  • The full name of the Showcase isThe Faculty of
    Health and Environmental Sciences Showcase- The
    Showcase
  • The Showcase is anAUTonline Organization
  • First Login to AUTonline atwww.autonline.ac.nz
  • Then look underMy Organizations (bottom right)

Access to The Showcase
  • All students and staff in the Faculty can have
    access to the Showcase
  • Over 5 thousand students
  • About 4 hundred staff
  • Look in the Computer Literacy menu
    (in the Showcase)to learn about APA Format
    EndNote!

APA Format
  • You are required to present your assignments in
    APA Format
  • EndNote is a program that will put your
    references and citations into APA format
  • AUT students can get EndNote for free by taking a
    blank CD-ROM to AL125
  • Remember that APA Format covers all your
    assignment presentation- not just referencing

  • All APA and EndNote lectures are the same!
  • You dont need to book!
  • All lectures are in AF124 unless specified and
    most are on APA format
  • Look here for the lecture times and dates
  • Note Some lectures may become an EndNote
    Lectures- check booking book for details

Submitting your Work Online
  • Students doing Health in the Context of Aotearoa/
    New Zealand are no longer required to submit any
    work Electronically (online)
  • Do NOT Submit your work into the Showcase
  • For the APA Format task do not submit one file
  • For the EndNote task do not submit two files
  • Look at your Task sheets for more info
  • Remember you may need 5 hours of classes!

  • Book for an A1 class at the AG blockStudent
    Information Centre
  • Book in the green ringbinder on top of
    theAssignment boxes
  • Only book in the times highlighted in Yellow
  • The classes are in AF416 and are FREE!
  • All classes start on the hour and are 50 minutes
    long

What to Bring to AF416
  • Bring Your blue APA and EndNote Task sheets-if
    youre doing Health in the Context of Aotearoa/
    New Zealand
  • Bring Walkman type headphones (if you have them)
    if you wish to use the Videos
  • Bring Your Login code (Username)-This is on your
    letter of confirmation-Or at the bottom right of
    your Student ID Card
  • Bring an open mind and a BIG smile! ?
  • NB Take a blank CD-ROM to AL125 if you think you
    may like to copy the videos to CD-ROM

  • These are in Lecture Theatres
  • All the lectures are the same
  • See the Front cover of the green ringbinder or
    the HCA noticeboard
  • You do not need to book for these
  • Attend the earliest possible session
  • Later sessions may become EndNote sessions
