Gods Great Exchange
  • The Main Message of the Bible

3
If you were to die tonight, are you sure you
would have eternal life?
4
What is it that makes you certain?
  • Or, to put it another way...

5
If you were to die tonight and stand before God
and he should ask you, "Why should I let you
into my heaven?"
  • ..what would you tell him?

6
What God Demands
7
Be holy, because I, the Lord your God am holy
(Leviticus 192).
8
To be holy means to be completely set apart from
sinners, to be without sin, without a flaw of any
kind, to be absolutely perfect.
9
What God Demands
HOLINESS SIN
10
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and
with all your soul and with all your strength and
with all your mind and Love your neighbor as
yourself (Luke 1027).
11
Do this, said Jesus to the man, and you will
live (Luke 1028).
12
What God Demands
LIFE
13
What God Sees
14
All have sinned and fall short of the glory of
God (Romans 323).
15
Your iniquities have separated you from your
God (Isaiah 592).
16
What God Sees
HOLINESS SIN
17
The wages of sin is death (Romans 623).
18
What God Sees
DEATH
19
As sinners, how can we possibly be in a right
relationship with God?

24
no to all three
25
There is a way that seems right to a man but in
the end it leads to death (Proverbs 1625).
26
Whoever keeps the whole law, and yet stumbles at
just one point, is guilty of breaking all of it
(James 210).
27
GOD'S GREAT EXCHANGE
28
Jesus Christ
  • eternal Son of God
  • became the Son of Man

29
Cross
30
Can any of you prove me guilty of sin (John
846)?
31
By his holy, sinless life, Jesus perfectly
fulfilled every requirement of God to qualify for
life with God now and life with God forever.
32
What God Demands
LIFE
33
The Lord laid on him the iniquity of us all
(Isaiah 536).
34
God made Jesus guilty of our sins!
35
Our sins to him
36
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me
(Matthew 2746)?
37
It is finished (John 1930)!
  • Our debt to God has been paid!

38
But what about God's other requirement...
  • ...that of holiness?

39
His holiness to us
40
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so
that in him we might become the righteousness of
God (2 Corinthians 521).
  • God has credited Jesus holiness to us!

41
Hes life, were death
42
He became what we were
43
We became what we were not
44
What God Demands
LIFE
45
The wages of sin is death
God's Promise
  • but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ
    Jesus our Lord (Romans 623).

46
Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be
saved (Acts 1631).
47
It is by grace you have been saved, through
faith--and this not from yourselves it is the
gift of God--not by works, so that no one can
boast (Ephesians 28,9).
48
Nothing in my hand I bring. Simply to Thy cross
I cling.
49
Why should I let you into my heaven?
50
In faith we point to Jesus and say,
  • He's why you should let me into heaven. Your Son
has opened the way for me. He is my Savior.
