• As the research on youth unemployment, carried

  Research in 1999 2004, show

  that they didnt have motivation to study at
  school

Lack of professional qualification

• 34.5 per cent of the respondents noted that they
  didnt have any professional qualification
• According to the data of Lithuanian Labour
  Exchange more than 50 per cent of registered
  unemployed young people didnt have any
  professional qualification

Inadequacy of professional qualification to the labour market needs

• one quarter of the respondents noted that their
  professional qualification didnt conform to the
  labour market needs
• compared to 2001, a share of university graduates
  among unemployed individuals increased from 11.9
  to 16.5 .

• 50 per cent of the unemployed young people
  indicated that they didnt know any information
  on vocational training and consulting

Measures for better youth integration to the
labour market

• Improvement of general education system
• Improvement of vocational information,
  orientation and consultation system
• Improvement of primary and continuous vocational
  training
• Development of young peoples entrepreneurship
• Researching labour market needs and demand for
  the specialists.
