1
  • Hello! We are the pupils of 1st A and we like
to know things about the painters!

2
Our teacher travelled to Paris and she brought us
a book from the Orsay Museum, it was about Monet.
We loved the paintings and we wanted to know more
things about this painter.
3
Who was Monet?
  • Oscar- Claude Monet was born on the 14th November
    1840
  • Job painter
  • Aesthetic Movement Impressionism
  • Main works Impression, sunrise
  • Women in the garden Bathing at La
    Grenouillere...

4
Let us know the painting Impression, sunrise
which is on the Marmottan Museum in Paris . It
was with this work that the Impressionism started.
5
This is the painting Women in the garden , it
was painted in 1866 and it is in the Orsay
Museum. Here Monet explorated the women clothes
and the light.
6
Bathing at La Grenouillere was painted in 1869.
The main theme of the paintings is the bathers in
the River Sena. This work shows the popular style
in boat tours and bathings in the rivers.
7
What a beautiful paintings! These are all about
Nature!
8
Look at this! It is a painting of his house,
where there were many gardens.
9
And this one!
10
This is perhaps called Shadow of the woman in
the rain because there is a lady with an
umbrella and there is also her shadow.
11
Who is this lady? Perhaps she is a painter. Have
you seen that she is doing a portrait of the
other lady? She looks like pregnant, or fat! She
has something in her hand! Is she sewing? No.
Its her dress. She is reading a book. It looks
the same woman who was in the previous painting
and now she came here to paint.
12
It was wonderful to study Monet, so that, we also
wanted to be small painters!
  • We brought flowers and we did bookmarks.
