  rural-urban migration and high rates of natural
  increase.
• As cities grow the swallow up rural areas and
  other towns and cities nearest.
• They become multi-nuclei centres with due to
  engulfing neighbouring urban areas and their
  CBDs.
• Some of these cities are larger than the
  populations of entire countries.
