Work Plan
  • Main Food Groups Vegetables, grains, meats
  • Main Nutrients Vitamins, minerals, protein,
    complex carbohydrates
  • Food must be ready to serve with 25 minutes left
    of class on 2nd day.

Day One Chop Vegetables
  • Choose 2-3 different vegetables to make 2 cups of
    vegetables total.
  • Choose how you will cut your vegetables (slice,
    dice, julliene, etc)
  • Each group will get 5 ounces of chicken
  • Slice chicken into thin slices
  • Store chicken and vegetables separately!!

Day Two Make sauce and rice
  1. Make rice
  2. Make sauce you choose your recipe for sauce
  3. Cook meat and vegetables (meat must temp at 165
    degrees F.)
  4. Present a finished dish to teacher
