Title: MY TRIP TO NEW YORK
1MY TRIP TO NEW YORK
2DAY 1
Arrival in New York at 1300. That day well have
jet lag. The Big Apple is six hours behind
Spain. We plan to have a walk around the streets
near the hotel (in the Theater District )
Madison Avenue, the Fifth Avenue and Times
Square. Well have a look at Grand Central
Terminal, the most impressive railway station in
N.Y. I want to go up the Empire State building
before it gets dark and wait until the city gets
full of light.

4Some Empire State Building Visitor Tips
- Save Time Buy Your Tickets Online
- Consider the Weather dont go on a cloudy day.
- Best time your visit during sunset, where you can
watch the sunlight fade and the city's glowing . - Plan at least 2 hours for your visit to the
Empire State Building do some reading or work on
a crossword puzzle, since there is not much to
see while you wait in line.
5DAY 2
We want to go to Harlem to listen to the choir
sing Gospel in their church. Then well visit the
cathedral Saint John the Divine and then go to
the Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of N. Y.s
most popular attractions. Do you know its the
largest museum in the Western Hemisphere? Well
finally have a look at the Lincoln Center and
later will definitely have a rest in Central
Park. Sightseeing is exhausting, especially when
its so hot. Well go rollerblading in the
evening.
6Traveler reviews on the Metropolitan Museum of Art
- Fantastic museum, definitely too much to see in
one day. Only negative is the high price of food
in the cafe. Don't get hungry here. 8.50 for a
small slice of pizza is just too much. - Just remember that it's closed on Mondays!
- Your best strategy is to arrive at the 930 a.m
opening -- the crowds really get going by midday. - The current Egyptian exhibition is a must-see.
7Things you can do in Central Park
- Take a boat ride in the Lake.
- Rent a bike or rollerblades.
- Attend a concert.
- See a play by Shakesperare.
- Visit the zoo.
- And relax!
8DAY 3
Well take a ferry to have a view of the Statue
of Liberty and Ellis Island. This is what
thousands of immigrants saw when they came to the
U.S., looking for a dream. Well have a walk in
South Street Port, which has many restaurants and
shops on the water and beautiful views of the
Brooklyn Bridge. Well walk to the other side of
the bridge to get a view of New Yorks skyline.
Teresa told me not to miss that. She says it is
like in films. In the evening well go to Ground
Zero (where the Twin Towers used to be). Then
well visit Wall Street, Chinatown, Little Italy,
SoHo and Greenwich Village.
9Statue of Liberty visitor tips
- For the Statue of Liberty alone, it will take
about 2-3 hours if you attend a tour. Arrive at
the ferry 2 hours prior to your tour. - Plan to visit the Statue of Liberty during the
week if possible and catch the first ferry of the
day to avoid unnecessary waiting.

11DAYS 4 to 8
Well go on a tour by coach to visit the Niagara
Falls in Toronto (about 600 km from N.Y.!) and
take a boat ride there. The tour will also take
us to Washington D.C., the capital of the U.S.
And Philadelphia. We wont have to plan anything
here because the tour guide will take us
everywhere and we wont have much free time for
ourselves. A package tour holiday is nice if
its not too long since you meet new people from
different parts of your country, can make new
friends and you dont have to read the guide all
the time. Theres an expert who explains
everything.

dont think well get in there. After that well
move on to Saint Patricks Cathedral and will
finally get into the American museum of National
History In the evening well go to the theater
in Broadway. It starts at 2000

17DAY 10
We havent decided what to do yet. That depends
on the places we have actually visited in the
previous days. We should do some shopping for
our family and us. My child wants a basket
T-shirt of the Nets. I dont know what Ill buy
for me or my parents, but Im sure Ill often
have to stop myself from spending so much money.
18Back home!
Our planes leaves to Barcelona at 17 40, so
