    implement the ASCA model in grades 5-12

  • Note We assume that participants have a
    basic understanding of the ASCA model

District overview
  • 19 schools
  • 7 primary schools (no counselors)
  • 7 middle schools (.5 counselor in each building)
  • 2 comprehensive high schools (10 counselors
    total)
  • 3 alternative schools (part time counselors)
  • Approximately 700 teachers
  • 237 square miles (rural and suburban)
  • Approximately 13,000 students
  • Almost 40 free and reduced lunch

guiding and empowering them to be confident,
proactive and future-oriented.

with the proper support, instruction, and
guidance.   ALL STUDENTS have equal opportunity
to learn academic, career, and personal/social
skills.   ALL STUDENTS are accountable for their

    responsibilities and to improve accountability
  • Learn how to develop and enhance a program using
    data
  • Work toward goals that are specific and have
    measurable outcomes
