• Wear loose clothing
• Open toed shoes
• Use hair spray, mousse, or flammable products
  before or during a lab where an open flame is
  used.

• Touch
• Smell
• ANY CHEMICAL OR SUBSTANCE!!!!

ALWAYS

• Wear Safety goggles
• Wear Safety Apron
• Tie back long hair

Remove

• Loose jewelry

• Eat
• Drink
• IN THE LAB ( or my classroom)

DONT TOUCH!

• Equipment
• Chemicals
• Always
• Pour acid in water

DO NOT

• Substitute other chemicals/substances
• Begin until directed
• Point test tubes toward yourself or anyone else

DO NOT

• Take materials or chemicals out of lab
• Work alone

Eye Wash/ Safety Shower

• If a chemical should splash on your skin or eyes
• Immediately flush with running water for AT LEAST
  20 MINUTES!!
• Tell your teacher. ( no matter what)

• Fire Blanket
• Broken Glass Container

Fume Hood

• Use fume hood when working with volatile
  substances or poisonous vapors.
• NEVER place your head into the fume hood.
