Transfer Cert to Diploma to Masters
  • Cert students may transfer to the G.D. having
    successfully completed 4 modules.
  • If you subsequently wish to transfer to the
    Masters an average of 55 from the 4 modules
    completed on the Cert. plus any 2 modules taken
    on the G.D. is required.
  • ALL modules considered for transfer purposes must
    be passed at the FIRST ATTEMPT.
  • In addition, students MAY be required to attend
    an interview.

TransferGraduate Diploma to Masters
  • Students on the G.D. who obtain one of the
    following will be given the option to transfer to
    the MASTERS
  • 1. an average of 55 in the first 4 modules
    taken and passed at FIRST ATTEMPT.
  • 2. an average of 55 in ANY 6 modules they pass
    at FIRST ATTEMPT.

TransferGrad Diploma to Masters (contd).
  • Students who complete the G.D. requirment of 60
    Level 5 credits, and who have NOT met the 6
    module, 55 threshold for transfer, may continue
    to attempt to achieve the threshold by taking
    additional modules (only one attempt is permitted
    for such additional modules).
  • Award classification will be based on grades
    achieved in the FIRST 8 modules taken.
  • NOTE Students who qualify to transfer will be
    offered the opportunity to transfer OR to
    accept/complete the lower qualification.
    Students who opt to transfer will not be awarded
    the lower qualification

Transfer Options Between Qualifications
  • To transfer between qualifications, e.g. MEN to
    MTC, or between FULL-TIME and PART-TIME modes,
    you MUST complete an Internal Transfer form,
    and submit it according to deadlines laid down by
    the Admissions Office.

The Project
  • Projects are allocated ONCE a year, at the
    beginning of March (for students submitting a
    project in the following August and January).
  • Priority is given to students due to complete the
    Masters by the following September.
  • Allocation based on aggregate marks if two
    students select the same project.
  • Projects are submitted in EITHER January or
    August if a submission date is deferred, you
    must register for the project again but to submit
    at the next submission date.
